Thank you Tom for running to be our representative. While you didn't win this time, you planted a lot of seeds for the future. Thank you for all your efforts.

I believe one of the main reasons you lost was that Lujan bought votes with promises of more "pork". Earmarks used as bribes and payoffs corrupt the legislative process and disenfranchise citizens who are not members of the favored class. I am writing congress to ban this practice in hope that good men like you will have a fair chance in being elected.

Lujan is a poor representative and I am sick that we have to endure him for another term. Would you post or would someone on your team write or call me with a summary of lessons learned, etc. What can we do better to elect constitutional conservatives in New Mexico?

Again, thank you, your staff, and your family for running in this campaign.

I watched the election returns last night in Utah with eager anticipation, praying for "change" I really want. As I knew of your race through my sister-in-law, Alicia Williams, I'd gone to your website, and if ever I wished a candidate success, it was you. Btw, one side of my business card has a photo I took called, "November Sunrise," there to remind me that every day is indeed a fresh start. God bless you and all who campaigned for you.

I really enjoyed talking to you last week and having a chance to share each others point of view regarding conservative philosophy. One of the things that really bugs me is the way people and especially the media so easily throw around labels as if there is a universal definition for conservative or liberal. It's really frustrating because rarely if ever does the discussion really get deep into the fundamental differences between the two points of view; which are profound.

The kind of governance that Lujan and his friends really like having is top down command and control. And why not? They're at the top! (this includes Republicans too by the way). People hopefully can see however that this country did not become the great nation that it was in the past by top down, elite driven social, political, or economic engineering. What made this country great is the same creative genius and same creative source that puts leaves on the tree's and I don't think that the Source created a Congressional sub-committee to determine if hydrogen and oxygen would be good together. The kind of governance Ben Jr and his cronies want is one that is based on distrust. People and organizations can't be trusted to do t he right thing therefore the Feds needs to step in to make sure that the right thing (in their opinion) gets done. In contrast people such as yourself and others like you live by a principle that is based on trust and belief that people, when left alone will do the right thing most of the time. (the reality is that we're biologically programmed to do the right thing). Sure there will be a few weeds here and there - we don't live in a perfect world, but can anyone who advocates top down command control social engineering honestly say that their system of mistrust hasn't also led to weeds in the garden? The problem is that such a system of distrust leads to cameras on every corner, in the schools, guards everywhere to make sure that regular folks who can't be trusted do what we're supposed to do in the eyes of the authorities (ie the state). The problem is who will be left to guard the guards? This is where I feel we are and the direction we are moving towards. If we end up with no one guarding the guards then what? I'll tell you what! Then you can't trust your neighbors and one day you'll be sitting home watching TV, or playing with the dog and there will be a knock on your door and it will be the thought police there to ask you if you've been reading that radical material called the Constitution again. This may sound far fetched but it really isn't. Just recently in. Recently there was an article on Computer World about how DHS trolled social networking sites for items of interest leading up to the 2009 inauguration. Or more recently you can read about how CPS seized a new born baby because the father was a gun owner and had a loose association with “The Oath Keepers”. My God what would our forefathers of just a couple generations ago say? I could go on and on and on and on but I support you because you support me, my freedom. My freedom to believe in what I want to believe in, to associate with whom I want associate with and with the full knowledge that these rights are granted to us not by the state but by our creator.

A SHORT CIVICS LESSON

The Washington Post babbled again recently

about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush.

Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense.
So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House.

They come from Congress,

and the party that controlled Congress

since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

The Democrat controlled the budget process

for Fiscal Year 2008 and Fiscal Year 2009,

as well as those of 2010 and 2011.

In that first year,

Democrats had to contend with George Bush,

which caused them to compromise on spending,
when Bush somewhat belatedly

got tough on spending increases.

For Fiscal Year 2009 though,

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid

bypassed George Bush entirely,

passing continuing resolutions

to keep government running
until Barack Obama could take office.

At that time,

they passed a massive omnibus spending bill
to complete the Fiscal Year 2009 budget.

And where was Barack Obama during this time?
He was a member of that very Congress that passed

all of these massive spending bills,
and he signed the omnibus bill as President

to complete the budget of 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit,

it was the Fiscal Year 2007 deficit,

the last of the Republican budgets.

That deficit was the lowest in five years,

and the fourth straight decline

in deficit spending.

After that, Democrats in Congress

took control of spending,

and that includes Barack Obama,

who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything,

he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is,
"I inherited a deficit that I voted for

and then I voted to expand that deficit

four-fold since January 20th."

There is no way this will be widely publicized,
unless each of us sends it on!

We need Tom!
Yesterday I wrote you about the need for better radio ads. Today I found outstanding examples of ads I think Tom should consider. Go to ArtRobinsonForCongress.com. Tom probably knows Art or at least of him as Art founded the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine and believes in the same principles.

Tom -- Please place a new radio ad.

Repeating your name is clever for a week - giving name recognition. However, it's time to educate the listners WHY THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR YOU. Lujan's spending is going to enslave our children and grandchildren, but we have too many people in Santa Fe and north who think Lujan is "working" or "fighting for them" by bringing home some pork.

You need a short, simple, positive message saying WHAT YOU STAND FOR- something like "Prosperity for All" - the people need to be re-educated that a hand up is better than a hand out.

Thanks for running and Best Wishes! I'm working for you and our great slate as a Poll Challenger and also will observe the vote counting.

Good gracious! I'm only 10 mins into this debate and I already want to vomit. Ben Ray Lujan has really learned his talking points well. I'm sure Nancy Pelosi will give him a gold star when he gets back to DC. Meanwhile, back on the farm...the rest of us can see that Ben Ray is just as big of an idiot as ever. I think he lacks any sort of imagination or ablity to speak for himself and answer in his own words. I am seriously praying for you Tom and your campaign. I'm also talking to all my friends about you. Tom, you did a GREAT job and are clearly the superior candidate.
