This is clearly the largest tax increase and attempt at control of our lifestyle in our nation's history. Don't be fooled by the harmonizing names of Green House Gases, Global Warming, or Climate Change. Our health, wealth, and future security are dependent upon affordable carbon. Carbon is organic. Carbon is life. Our standard of living is directly related to the level of our carbon use. Control of your use of energy by government dictate is clearly unconstitutional.

The science is not settled. Carbon-dioxide (CO2) is a trace gas in earth's lower atmosphere (0.0383 percent) and has been increasing in concentration. The residence time of CO2 is only 7 to 10 years, not the 100 years assumed by the IPCC and bureaucrats. Computer modelers have been unable to accurately predict future climate. Common sense tells us that. How often can we predict the weather a week into the future? For more than 7 years, the earth has been cooling. Remember the dire predictions regarding hurricanes and tornadoes? Global sea ice coverage has changed little since satellite records began in 1979. New Mexicans have noticed the change in terminology from Global Warming to Climate Change.

Politicians are making dire predictions regarding our future and wish to lower our standard of living to a level last seen in the 1800's. Hold onto your wallet. Limiting New Mexican's use of energy will ensure our servitude to an all powerful state. Your children's future will depend upon affordable energy.
