Roots in Good Policy

As a man who has years of legislative experience under his belt, one thing Kyle knows well is how to make good policy. At the root of Kyle’s priorities are classic bread-and-butter policies. This means we start with the basics. Good policy ensures the land of opportunity lives up to its name by codifying economic mobility, strong workers' rights, access to healthcare, the ability to build families, and a planet for the future.

Kyle’s commitment to Congressional District 8 runs deep. This district is home to hard-working families, vibrant small businesses, and a resilient, diverse community that values progress and opportunity. Kyle believes that good policy isn’t just about vision; it’s about serving the distinct needs of District 8’s residents, from supporting small families and revitalizing our economy to investing in education and affordable housing. He’s dedicated to strengthening the unique assets of District 8, honoring its history, and making sure every family has a fair shot at success.

My Priorities are Your Priorities.

ECONOMIC MOBILITY

Kyle recognizes that to have a strong economy, we must work from the ground up. Part of Kyle's economic policy goals include strengthening small businesses. That is why he sponsored legislation for the Pennsylvania SBIR/STTR Matching Funds Program to offer technology grants to small businesses. Kyle prioritizes economic mobility by uplifting our most vulnerable, especially low-income families in northeastern Pennsylvania. With experience in sponsoring legislation to offer cash grants and daycare services to low-income families, Kyle is ready to advocate for Pennsylvanians in Washington. If elected, Kyle will bring good policy like extending the Earned Income Child Tax Credit.

WOMEN'S RIGHTS

Kyle Mullins is committed to championing policies that support women and families, focusing on economic opportunity, healthcare access, and safety. Kyle firmly believes that people should have the freedom to choose when and how to build families. As a member of the Pennsylvania Black Maternal Health Caucus, he has worked to address disparities in maternal care and ensure that all mothers receive the support they need. His platform includes expanding paid family leave, improving access to reproductive healthcare, and fighting for equal pay. By prioritizing these issues, Kyle aims to create a fairer and more equitable future where women can thrive.

ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE

Two years ago, Kyle's father, Michael Mullins, was taken from him suddenly just a few years after being diagnosed with ALS. As Kyle struggled to watch his father's mobility deteriorate, he also bore the financial burden of treatment, which can cost up to $100,000. People battling chronic illness and pain should not have to be so concerned about breaking the bank. Our healthcare workers should feel protected and supported with livable wages and hours. On top of advocating for innovation in medicine, Kyle plans to fight for lower healthcare costs if elected.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTIONS

At the cornerstone of Kyle's prospective policy agenda is his commitment to conserving our planet. Kyle is thankful to have grown up in the lush mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. As the father of two young children, he knows that we must take immediate action to protect our planet and futures from pollution and environmental degradation. With his history of developing legislation to tighten emissions standards and offer sustainability incentives, Kyle is ready to advocate in Washington for Pennsylvania's future.
